What Cricket Means To Me Meets Sarah Taylor

There are some moments in cricket that remind you just how special and connected our game really is, and one of those moments came at Lord's during the recent Women's World Cup Final.

The What Cricket Means To Me team were delighted to bump into former England wicketkeeper and one of the game's true legends, Sarah Taylor. Now part of the England Men's coaching set-up as Fielding Coach, Sarah continues to inspire cricketers across the world, breaking barriers and demonstrating that cricket is a game for everyone.

Sarah's achievements on the field are remarkable. Widely regarded as one of the finest wicketkeepers the game has ever seen, she represented England in more than 200 international matches and played a pivotal role in England's unforgettable Women's World Cup triumph in 2017 at Lord's. Her skill behind the stumps and fearless approach to the game helped redefine women's cricket for a new generation of players and supporters alike.

It was a real pleasure to show Sarah a copy of What Cricket Means To Me, our fundraising book celebrating the stories, memories and experiences that make cricket such an important part of so many lives.

After taking a look through the book, Sarah shared her thoughts on what makes projects like this so special - "Cricket has given me so much throughout my life, and what I love about this book is that it captures the human side of the game.
