We've just finished adding up the sales figures for July and we're absolutely amazed. When we started What Cricket Means To Me and What Yorkshire Cricket Means To Me, we never imagined we would achieve anything like this.
Together, the two books have now raised an incredible £13,400 for two wonderful causes – the Cricketers' Trust (£7,650) and the Yorkshire Players Association (£5,750).
Cricket is often described as a game of partnerships and this project has become exactly that. It simply wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of over 140 contributors who shared their stories so openly and honestly, and the hundreds of people who have bought a copy, recommended the books to friends and family, and supported us so enthusiastically wherever we've been.
To know that £13,400 is now going towards supporting current and former players, disability cricket, community projects and helping people across our game is something we're immensely proud of.
Your support has been quite extraordinary. Thank you for helping us prove that cricket really is so much more than a game.
