The What Cricket Means To Me team enjoyed a fantastic day at Scarborough during Yorkshire's County Championship match against Warwickshire, and we can't thank Yorkshire supporters enough for the incredible support they showed us throughout the day.
Thanks to the generosity of fans, we sold over 50 copies of the Yorkshire edition of the book, raising an amazing £750 for the Yorkshire Players' Association.
The response from supporters was overwhelming, with so many people stopping to chat, share their own cricket memories and support the fundraising project. It was a wonderful reminder of the strength of the Yorkshire cricket community and the affection people have for the game and its people.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Neil Fletcher, Dan and everyone at Scarborough Cricket Club for their support and hospitality. Their help in making the day such a success was greatly appreciated.
The demand for the book has been so strong that, following the Scarborough sales day, we have just placed an order for a new print run!
Thank you to everyone who has bought a book, spread the word, and supported the project so far. Every purchase helps us celebrate cricket's unique stories while raising valuable funds for the Yorkshire Players' Association and the Cricketers' Trust.
